The cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours returned to breaking the record this Monday (13) with 230 thousand in a single day, bringing to 12.7 million the total contagions confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO) since the beginning of the pandemic. Altogether, 566,355 people have died from the disease, but the number of daily deaths has not increased in the past two months, remaining relatively stable at around 5,000 per day.

America remains the continent most impacted by the pandemic, with 6.66 million confirmed cases, while Europe approaches 3 million, and the Middle East exceeds 1.2 million. The USA, where the curve of new cases continues to increase, is most affected by the pandemic, with 3.22 million confirmed cases, followed by Brazil, with more than 1.8 million. The list continues with India, Russia, Peru, Chile, and Mexico, in that order.
So far, 7.6 million people have been cured of Covid-19, while 1% of active cases (about 58 thousand) are in serious or critical condition).
